Kid's Worship Opportunity!

Will you pray and see what God tells you to do?

We Need Small Group Shepherds!

You may be the very one God wants to work with our kids!

We need adults to serve as Small Group Shepherds in our Children's Worship on Sunday mornings, 10:30 am. Listed below are the opportunities:

·  We need adults to serve as small group leaders for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade, or 3rd and 4th grade. You would help facilitate a craft, game, etc. during the small group breakout time after the lesson, led by Tracee.
·  We need adults to help with music. The music is based on the ones the kids have learned over the past year and are on CD's.
·  We need adults to plan activities to go along with the lesson, using a craft, game, activity, etc.

You might discover this is the best 60 minutes of your week! Just think: You might get to teach a kid from a non-Churched family how to pray. You might get to tell a kid from a broken home that God loves him. Or maybe you can take a kid who's scared and put your arms around him and tell him he doesn't need to be afraid because God is his friend.

Would you pray and see what God tells you to do? If God tells you that is not where you need to serve . . . that is perfectly understandable. I accept that. But, If God tells you to work with our kids, would you let me be the first to know? I will get you connected to just the right persons to be sure you have all of your questions answered and decide if that is where God wants you to serve. We will equip you and will be sure you understand what your responsibilities are and what is expected.

Options: You can work every Sunday or work on a rotation basis.

Saturday Community Prayerwalk and Gospel Saturation

Saturday, March 14

Dear Thomas,

Hope you are having a great day. As you go throughout each day, remember to look for opportunities to share a testimony about your faith in Jesus. God is good.

I would like to remind you of two opportunities for outreach on Saturday coming:

Prayer Walk at 9 am - this is an opportunity to "pray on site with insight". We will be praying for our community, friends, and our church. You will be given instructions on how to do prayerwalking. You can walk, stop and pray, or you can simply walk and pray for the people in the homes you pass. When you drive on the church campus, pray that God will use all of our facilities to draw people to Himself. When you go to the grocery store, ask God to give you an opportunity to invite someone to Heritage Hills. Tell them about your Sunday School class and invite them to attend. Offer to meet up with them to be sure they know where to go. We invite you to join us on Saturday, 9 am. In case of rain, come one, we will "prayer ride".
Gospel Saturation is at 3 pm and is a time we sow seeds of the Gospel. We simply knock on doors, hand out materials about HHBC that includes a Gospel of John, a salvation tract, and we invite them to worship with us. We are always sensitive to "open doors" that God provides. Just think, someone might have a life-change through Jesus Christ because of your sowing.

I Have Two Great Opportunities . . . for you!

1. Leadership Summit 2009

Zion Baptist, Saturday coming, 8 am - 12:15 pm

It's a plan to mobilize the churches in our association to be more intentional and focused on evangelism.

You will attend two out of four sessions regarding:

Prayer

Engaging

Sowing

Harvesting

Call the church office (770.922.2027) for registration. The church will pay your $5 fee.

2. Community Outreach . . Gospel Saturation Another opportunity for Saturday is to join us at 3 pm as we go door-to-door meeting our neighbors and handing out information about our church. It will also be a great time to tell the community about our new Early Learning Center.

I want to be sure you know of these two great opportunities. The first, will equip us to be better stewards of our efforts to reach our communities. The second is the opportunity to get more personal by reaching out to our friends, relatives, associates, and neighbors.
