Billy The Westie
At the age of 2
Billy suffered the onset of juvenile diabetes and required 2 insulin
injections a day which he took like a champ for nearly 4 years. In July
he had a severe case of pancreaitis which is very serious for a diabetic
dog. In the end he suffered neurological damage. The vets think it was
due to the sudden rise in his sodium levels. We did absolutely
everything we could to save him, but once he started having seizures we
knew it was time. Just breaks my heart. The vets made an imprint of his
paw in a clay mold - with that and a couple of other items my
husband made a shadow box of our sweet boy. Just thought I'd share it
with you.
